Why do we often clean our homes when we know people are coming over ?

Idk but it feels like some kinda military practice the way my mum paces back and forth assigning everyone in the room to different corners of the room with different jobs before she opens the door with what she thinks looks welcoming but actually looks quite psychotic

@NickiHijab I like how moms are so anxious when waiting for guests as if they're waiting for the queen and once they show up they're like "oh we didn't do anything special today, just waiting for you 😇"

@HannibalAteMeOut right? I think preparing for guests is the closest I've seen to my mum doing gymnastics. That or when someone gifts her money. She'll be doing cartwheels just so the other person takes the money back.
