I Have Something to Say

I was just responding to some ones post and this though occurred to me.
A wise person tempers the desires of his heart, with the council of the mind.

I believe this is true, but also the thoughts of the mind can be tempered with the compassion of the heart.

True, true indeed, I think it depends on the condition of the heart and mind at any particular time. Some times the heart is hardened or bitter, and the mind's wit and reason brings us around, sometimes, our .indeed can be bothered, and darkened and the heart brings us back.
I think k they are tangent, subjects to each other.

@Dorkgerdo: Yes, heart and mind works in tandem and balance each other. However, in reality, many lean to one or the other, and then those on the fringes lean to either extremes.

I think it was Gandhi who said, " when the mind, emotions, and body are in harmony, then we'll know peace." I'm paraphrasing.

@Carissimi: I've head that, and it reminds me on Jimmie Hyndrix that said, "When the power of love over comes the love of power, then we will know peace."
But yeah I agree. I also think we must be cautious about what we expose our hearts and minds to.
Over exposure to negative, and or dark experiences and sensations, will tend to harden the heart, darken the mind.
Too much positive and or uplifting stuff, we tend to feel so heavenly, we are no earthly good.
