I Have Something to Say

I've been reading several articles on Social Justice and Social Justice Warriors. The more I read, the more I had images of the Taliban in my mind.

Last year, I found a church where I felt comfortable and thought I may become a member, however, they are big on social justice. It didn't bother me, but there was an undercurrent of something that I couldn't name or put my finger on. A tiny red flag went up in my psyche, but I couldn't say why. Well, now I know what it is. Now I understand ... totalitarianism and intolerance for other points of view. Isn't that called bigotry? The very same word they throw around, like confetti, at everyone who doesn't think as they do.

The more I read on SocJus, the more the pieces of the puzzle came together. All the news reports about (what seemed like insanity to me) people being fired for the most innocuous one statement sentence. All the faux outrage and taking offense because someone wore a cultural costume on Halloween, and many other stories over the past few years. The outrage and offense taken were greatly out of proportion to the event, and some poor victims (the real victims of this egregious movement) were now labeled racists or some kind of phobe and enduring a smear campaign to wreck their lives.

Prior to the election, I'd felt all this crazy political correctness, over the years, was turning the world upside down. One couldn't even have a rational discussion about an issue without being demonized and shouted down by a herd of overly emotional and melodramatic bullies, but now as the US engages in mass hysteria after the election, it's all making sense.

Social Justice and Third Wave Feminism both cry about being oppressed by either society or "the patriarchy" and preach openness and tolerance...yet are intolerant of other viewpoints, scream "racism", "bigot", or "misogynist", when they don't get their way.

It is the most ironic and pointless movement of all time.
Carissimi · F
Well not pointless because they do get their way, and they are shaping minds and the culture. Look at "safe spaces," look at the school kids being led by their teachers to protest Trump's win, and needing therapy dogs and "cry ins," to help them with the "trauma." All this having people lose their jobs because they said something as innocuous as "l want to help minorities," and I'm just skimming the surface.

The culture has changed because the squeaky wheel gets the oil, and these people are very squeaky. They'll lie and ruin a career just to get their way.

What's Third Wave Feminism?

Pointless in the sense that they are imagining an "enemy" to fight. 3rd Wave Feminism is the latest trend of feminism that pushes the idea that women are oppressed in the western world due to patriarchal tyranny. They like to point to the "wage gap", the study that suggested that women make 77 cents to every dollar that men make...however, as with all studies, these only show facts from one angle as this one only compares gross income of all women polled and doesn't reflect the fact that women make different financial and personal life decisions than men. Women take time off for maternity leave, women often take part time jobs so they can spend more time taking care of family, etc.

....largely it is man hating. Go on youtube and look up Paul Joseph Watson, Bearing, Blair White, these are some of my favorite social commentators

@Ronin8510: I know what I say is very unpopular, but I don't believe in all this maternity leave for both parents with full pay for 6-months or more.

We've created a society of entitlement. Employers are supposed to pay a new mother for months while having to hire someone else to do her job. That's not right in my opinion. Go to work or have a baby, or find child care, and go back to work, but it's not the responsibility of people trying to run a business to take care of you (and run their business) just because you want to start a family. You can't have your cake and eat it...well actually you can these days.

There is a lot of hate about, and it mainly comes from the left.

I think I may know Watson, but I'll check them out.
