Social Justice and Third Wave Feminism both cry about being oppressed by either society or "the patriarchy" and preach openness and tolerance...yet are intolerant of other viewpoints, scream "racism", "bigot", or "misogynist", when they don't get their way.

It is the most ironic and pointless movement of all time.
Carissimi · F
Well not pointless because they do get their way, and they are shaping minds and the culture. Look at "safe spaces," look at the school kids being led by their teachers to protest Trump's win, and needing therapy dogs and "cry ins," to help them with the "trauma." All this having people lose their jobs because they said something as innocuous as "l want to help minorities," and I'm just skimming the surface.

The culture has changed because the squeaky wheel gets the oil, and these people are very squeaky. They'll lie and ruin a career just to get their way.

What's Third Wave Feminism?
Ronin8510 · 36-40, M
Pointless in the sense that they are imagining an "enemy" to fight. 3rd Wave Feminism is the latest trend of feminism that pushes the idea that women are oppressed in the western world due to patriarchal tyranny. They like to point to the "wage gap", the study that suggested that women make 77 cents to every dollar that men make...however, as with all studies, these only show facts from one angle as this one only compares gross income of all women polled and doesn't reflect the fact that women make different financial and personal life decisions than men. Women take time off for maternity leave, women often take part time jobs so they can spend more time taking care of family, etc.

....largely it is man hating. Go on youtube and look up Paul Joseph Watson, Bearing, Blair White, these are some of my favorite social commentators
Carissimi · F
@Ronin8510: I know what I say is very unpopular, but I don't believe in all this maternity leave for both parents with full pay for 6-months or more.

We've created a society of entitlement. Employers are supposed to pay a new mother for months while having to hire someone else to do her job. That's not right in my opinion. Go to work or have a baby, or find child care, and go back to work, but it's not the responsibility of people trying to run a business to take care of you (and run their business) just because you want to start a family. You can't have your cake and eat it...well actually you can these days.

There is a lot of hate about, and it mainly comes from the left.

I think I may know Watson, but I'll check them out.

While I certainly have my issues with the Social Justice Warrior movement or ideal. Slapping the "Taliban" label on them seems abit much.

Just like any group you have people who want to like the ideals and thinking working toward them is good. Then you are going to have a vocal minority who takes them to far.

Like anything in life, moderation is key.
Carissimi · F
@Pherick: I hope so, but look at the brainwashing of school kids now who need "cry ins" and therapy dogs to help with the "trauma" of Trump winning. This stuff is taught in schools like its mainstream.
berangere · 80-89, F
@Carissimi: I think "cry ins" could encourage winging, but therapy dogs are worth their weight in gold.
berangere · 80-89, F
@berangere: they are worth their weight in gold in many instances but I question them being used in this type of political agenda.
Groofydorkgerdo · 56-60, M
I have never really given it much though as I have seen both side to each social conflict. Until I reed this, give me food for thought. Got me a lot of Google research to do that's for sure. Read up on past social issues.
Carissimi · F
@berangere: I'm researching George Soros. I've heard his name for years, and knew he was a very rich guy with a lot of influence, but I didn't realize until yesterday how much power and money this guy has. It's scary. He's brought down the economies of nations, and funds hundreds of political organizations, like ACORN, and even funds faux Christian groups to make it seem like many Christians are in favor of policies that most Christians are against.

He sounds like a psychopath to hear him talk. He said the Nazi occupation was a fun time for him. They were rounding up Jews, and he and his guardian were taking the Jewish homes for their own financial gain. When asked if he felt remorse or guilt, he said no because if he didn't do it someone else would have.

He's a good friend of the Clintons and Obama. Isn't it odd that we don't hear the reporting on this? But not really, when you know he funds the major networks too.
berangere · 80-89, F
I believe many people who reach the top of their professions when it comes to business or politics are for the most (but not all) psychopaths whose only drive and ambition is the acquisition of power and money, they also surround themselves with sycophants who facilitate this because they also get their cut out of it.You look at most of the "great leaders"of history and see how they treated the people they were supposed to govern, how they exploited them and terrorised them,it is still happening now in a large scale in the world with what we are witnessing now. Some of the more dangerous and devious ones work behind the scenes and pull the strings like George Soros, some people talk of a "new world order"and often mention his name in relation to this.People do not report this because they are not aware it is going on and they have been cleverly fed all kinds of misinformation and many things are cleverly concealed and simply not talked about.I have a story on Hillary Clinton regarding the rape of a young girl and how she defended her attacker as his lawyer and very successfully put him back into society and so putting more women and young girls in great danger. But it appears that hardly anyone knows about it or care to know, hardly anyone looked at my story! This is one good example how the truth is hidden to suit certain people's agenda.

@berangere: Very well said. I know about the young girl who was raped, but thanks for the link.

Most people are "sheep," and believe everything they are fed. They don't know what critical thinking means.
berangere · 80-89, F
Thank you for sharing that post, well put!It seems that many people are losing their grip on reality.Political correctness, paralyses rational thoughts.
Mugin16 · 46-50, M
I see your point. However the Taliban have been fighting, rather badly armed, the world's only superpower to a standstill over the last 15 years. Whatever you think of them, you have to admit that they are brave.

The SJW, on the other hand, are bullies. They attack only when they are in big numbers against an isolated enemy. They are cowards.
Carissimi · F
I have to disagree. Men hitting women's ankles with a big stick are not brave but bullies.
Mugin16 · 46-50, M
@Carissimi: I was thinking more of them in terms of fighting the US military.

I doubt that male SJW would attack women armed only with sticks. lol
SouthernBoxer · 31-35, M
There is a fine line between bravery and stupidity.
