Trust in the Media hits a new all time low

Over 50% of Americans do not trust the news media.
56% of Americans agree with the statement that "Journalists and reporters are purposely trying to mislead people by saying things they know are false or gross exaggerations."
58% think that "most news organizations are more concerned with supporting an ideology or political position than with informing the public."
When Edelman re-polled Americans after the election, the figures had deteriorated even further, with 57% of Democrats trusting the media and only 18% of Republicans.
Look at those numbers. More than 1/2 of this country doesn't trust the media.

News media is the fucking worst. They don't have the balls to report actual issues and blow small things out of proportions. Fuck 'em all.

@G00GLE ...and yet so many people regurgitate what the MSM says verbatim with little critical thinking...

@SumKindaMunster people enjoy the easy route. Nothing wrong with that in particular but it leads to complacency.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@G00GLE Yes, path of least resistance seems to be the path of choice for most people.

@SumKindaMunster It's wack.
I know we don't agree politically but it's fucking dumb on every fucking side. It's all just buzzwords and the latest fad without any action anywheeeeeeere.

@G00GLE I agree with you there. Too many people are beholden to propaganda and it is a problem on both sides of the political spectrum.

Do you agree that "the powers that be" whomever actually runs this world, purposefully stokes the divide to keep us in a state of agitation with little cooperation?

@G00GLE
The people that actually run shit don't give a fuck about us. They are never in any danger. They chillax on their yachts while dumbass politicians create divides.
Agreed.

And all I'm trying to do is survive long enough so I can retire to Montana, Wyoming, or South Dakota.

@SumKindaMunster Ay good luck with that. You're in the right age group to probably still get a proper retirement before consumption ruins everything lol

EDIT: I might sound sarcastic but I do mean it, I hope you get to chill out the rest of your life

@G00GLE Thank you.

And I am sincere in my wish that you find someone who validates you and makes you happy.

I was single for a loooooooonnnnng time and finding someone who accepted me and supported me for who I am was the point where I turned the corner and started running my life instead of it running me.

It makes a HUGE difference in just getting through the tedium and monotony of modern life.

Anyway, I am serious. I hope you find the thing that makes your life worth living.
