After being beaten at the age of 20 by my mother, I have come to realize the following :

Things I want to say to a fellow abused person :

1) Its never going to change, they're never going to change, you're better off without them and nothing is more important than your freedom. No prince or princess charming is gonna come to rescue you, you're gonna have to rescue yourself. So, plan for escape and just do it when the time comes.

2) Do NOT prioritize ANYTHING over your own needs. You are not compelled to keep pleasing them by remaining their victim in one form or the other.

3) If you have to, cut them off completely. Seek legal help if necessary, get a restraining order or whatever it is that you need.

I, now, write all of this to help you and myself to remind myself in the future that these are the suggestions I'd give someone if they were in my position, so when the time comes, I can do it too. Without any hesitance.

I thought my mom stopped hitting me couple years ago. She'd still do things like slapping my face or smth occasionally, but that was about it. And then, one day in early 2019, she beat me up pretty badly. And, then nothing like that happened until today. She gave me a 29 min long video to watch and she was asking me after like 15 or so mins if I was watching the video, I told her I'm not done yet. Then 4 mins later, she asked again if I was watching it again, I again told her I'm not done yet. And, she came to my room angry and demanded an answer for not watching it, I showed her I was 19 mins into it, how would I finish watching a 29 min video in 19 mins? She didnt care, she started saying shit about me and said smth like she'll dance on my funeral or smth, and I yelled, "Okay, dance, then." In my native language, I used the informal version that you'd use with a friend with her, so she stomped back to my room and started hitting me with a broomstick.

@SW-User Unfortunately enough, the authority where I live is no better and definitely would side with them. But I'm planning my escape in a different manner. Hope that works.
