...Ask one of your black male friends how many times they've heard car doors lock as they pass.

Ask them how many times people have crossed the road to avoid them, or chins have been lowered or fake phone calls made to avoid eye contact.

Ask one of your black female friends how many times they've been asked if their father is still in their life.

Ask any of your black female friends who own businesses how often they're asked whether it's her own business.

Ask how many times they've put on a fake "local accent" to fit in.

Ask any of your black friends how many times they've been specifically asked to produce their ID to enter their places of work compared to their white colleagues.

Ask how often your black male friends have been pulled over because they have a "nice car", and once they've been searched ask them what the disappointment on the policeman's face looks like when thy find nothing.

Ask your black friends if they've ever had an apology after being frisked down for no reason.

Ask your black friends who are parents how many times they've been called to their children's schools because they're behaving just like other children but their teacher has already marked them out as a thug.

Ask them all how this makes them feel... then tell me there's no racism.
