I pretty much am the poster child for privledge in a way.
Remember the time when I was 17 and committed a hit and run? It should have been a misdemeanor with jail time I think they said but I didn't even get community service. All I had to do was go to court, pay some fines, take a safe driving class and I was good. I wasn't even charged with a misdemeanor I legit got it dropped to failing to obey a stop sign. I was on probation for a hot minute but got released from it early. I hated going to the probation office it was scary and I didn't belong there because a lot of the people there were sketchy looking.
There was another instance 3 years ago where I got a speeding ticket. I was going 17 over in a constriction zone. The sign didn't say it was now 30mph so I told the cop that I thought it was still 45mph because I didn't see a sign that said it wasn't. He pretty much let me go. I was supposed to get points on my record but I got no points and the charge dropped to double parking.
Let's just say I've gotten away with a ton of stuff that if I was anyone else they would have been nailed to the cross for. Seriously I mean it. In my traffic class we all had to share what we were in for and I by far committed the worst offense out of everyone but got off the easiest.
