This place has lost it's spark!

It sure has. I'm noticing a lot of SWers posting answers to old questions because there aren't many new ones.

@CharcoalBlack I think it was the so-called "improvements" they did recently that really doomed the place.

@hunkalove You ready for cold weather?

@hunkalove Yeah, the "improvements" they've done here are very questionable indeed. I haven't used this place in awhile so I'm not too informed on it, but the things I've heard are mostly negative. For instance, why were the questions and stories mashed together? It made the site a lot more messy in my opinion.

There's also a bunch of functionality STILL missing from EP after 4 years, when the site owners very clear promised that this site would have everything EP did. For example, the blogs from Experience Project are missing, the "friends circle" is missing, and users can no longer create groups like they could in EP to my knowledge. These are just some things off the top of my head.

Without the afformentioned friends circle functionality, it means that people in SW feel disconnected and have nothing really in common. The result is a site that really doesn't gauge anyone's interests. Even the trolls and fetish people are starting to leave this site because of boredom.

Realistically, a good 90% of the people still on this site are here because there's no other EP alternative on the web. Even if another alternative came out, I don't think it would work well in today's climate. One of the biggest reasons EP shut down in the first place was increasing government demands on personal information. It kind of destroyed the "privacy" aspect EP went for in the first place.

Seeing how shitty the internet has become in general kind of gives me motivation to start an EP-influenced website.

Seems the same as always to me 🤷‍♂️
CharcoalBlack · 22-25, M
@Tminus6453 pretty much yes, except there's less fetish posters and more politics (pretty much the internet as a whole these days)
