I remember my mother in her dementia state telling me that she has no idea who I was but that I sounded just like her oldest son.

@RodionRomanovitch No. Observing someone having a disease is not wishing said person has the disease. My Dear Wife had cancer. I didn't wish it upon her by telling my sister hat my wife had cancer. The cancer was a fact I could not deny. Same with Joe's dementia. I don't wish that he had it. I observe that he has it. See the difference?

@RodionRomanovitch Love Sarah Cooper! The thing is, that wasn’t an intelligence test; that was a test of basic cognitive function. The fact that Trump claimed to have found the last five questions hard is actually worrying, but I dare say not surprising...

@SW-User Have you taken the test? Most doctors who have taken it said it gets progressively harder and the last few questions are very difficult. I have never taken it nor even seen it but according to those experts that anyone can ace it is a bit surprising.

I looked into this online, and the test that he apparently took was the Montreal Cognitive Assessment Test (MoCA), which, according to its creator, Dr Ziad Nasreddine, is "not an IQ test or the level of how a person is extremely skilled or not". It is a test to help doctors test for early signs of Alzheimer's and "is supposed to be easy for someone who has no cognitive impairment".

The five questions that Trump apparently found hard involve:

1. Repeating a sentence out loud.
2. Naming as many words as you can beginning with the letter F.
3. Spot similarities between objects such as trains and bicycles (transport) or watches and rulers (measuring).
4. Recall random words from the earlier memory section (might be a little more difficult I grant ye).
5. And finally, say what the date is.

If Trump found these hard.... then oh dear.

But that's why I'M not taking the test. My cognition is fine, thank you.

@SW-User So if I said a sentence to you you could always recite it back to me verbatim? I have my doubts. The test is not as easy as you make it out to be and no where did I ever say it was an IQ test. It is a cognition test and it is widely used to detect cognition difficulties in people who are in their declining years. Joe could not pass it. You or I might get 28 or 29 correct but few get all 30 correct.

@SW-User Have you been paying attention to anything Joe has been saying lately? Seriously his responses are word salads or he ends by saying he is taking too much time and stops with out making a real response. I'm not trying to be mean to Joe but seriously if you haven't seen his verbal flubs then you haven't been paying attention. Did you see him at the funeral where Jill had to keep him from wandering off? There is a reason he is hiding in his basement and covid is not it.
