I Just Found Out

that apps and websites I visit, and even shop at, are sharing all my activity and purchases with FB. At the very least, I am not happy about this intrusion into my privacy, especially when on some of those sites I use a username, yet somehow they still know who I am. This is NOT right. FB should not be so deep into my personal life. 馃槨

I deleted my FB when advertising started showing up that I'd only talked about in conversation, and not even viewed online...

It鈥檚 sinister how that happens. I think it doesn鈥檛 matter if you have an account or not, they follow you if someone on FB has your contact info. It really is pervasive. @Mandalorian
@Carissimi In some ways it's good...like establishing clear and irrefutable evidence of criminal tendencies and activities...

..but aside from that, we'd be kidding ourselves if we ignored the implications as far as our civil rights go..

Even if criminal activity was happening, what鈥檚 that got to do with FB? Criminal activity should be reported to the police, not FB. The negatives here far outweigh any positives. In fact, I don鈥檛 see any positives for the individual. Imagine leaving your home, and have someone follow you all day, noting down where you went, what you bought, who you spoke to, what you ate, what you said, etc. It would be outrageous, and yet this is what is happening to every one of us in the digital world. @Mandalorian
@Carissimi I meant if FB were passing that info on to the police...

...but yeah, you're right...being monitored like we are is a legally very shady area, if not an outright illegal thing for FB to do..

...that's why I got rid of it..

I bet they still keep tabs on you through your friends and family. @Mandalorian
@Carissimi more than likely...that Zuckerberg is evil to the core..
