I thought I'd elaborate on this a bit, there are 2 simultaneously running themes here, one is how the world turned a sweet shy little boy into a dark brooding person w a take no prisoners attitude. The other is Nietzsche's concept of theoretical violence, theory that does violence to the system. So whenever my character speaks the language of violence it's always a double iteration, or ironic discourse about extricating himself fr the former which is negative and destructive, and embracing the latter which is affirmative and liberatory. Being a happy, spiritual person who's into existentialism, and opposed to injustice I'm sure you can appreciate all that.
