I Have Something to Say

I hate sitting around doing nothing. To clarify I hate sitting around at work with nothing to do. I have to do something. I have no problem sitting around at home, but I am different at work.

I am being paid to be there, and have to do something. When I was in trade school, my teachers said, "There will be days of nothing to do." With that, I told them "I will sweep a floor for 12 hours before I sat down." I have stuck with that. 15 years later and I have only sat down long enough for a quick bite and then I'm back at it.

I'm not sure if my current boss likes it. I'm one month into my current assignment and I have inspected every piece of equipment out here and tag out everything for being wrong. I can back up everything in the regs saying to stop using it until it can get fixed.

It is just who I am.

Iam the same... and it is worse at work to have nothing to do, partly because it makes the time drag but also because you feel you should be working.

It's true that some bosses don't like it.. makes them look inefficient :P
