I Have Something to Say

On good days, I love my empathy. I will sit and cry with you for hours if you need it because I will feel your pain right along with you. Most people don't really understand this about me. It does not have to be my pain in order to affect me as if it were.

On bad days my empathy gets me in trouble. I can spend hours ANGRY at people I don't know because of their lack of empathy and inability to see past their own noses.

Lately...I have not had many good days. Things are stressful. I am trying...but right now...

I am so ANGRY at the world. At the government. At PEOPLE.

Not all people...but...

The ones who make wild and absolutely false claims about things...they have not bothered to educate themselves on.

Do you know how the government works in the country you live in? Do you know how it is supposed to work FOR and not AGAINST you? Do you know?!??!?!

This may not be seen as empathy..but I am sitting in the middle of this shit storm we are all in and I cannot fathom people who believe that only THEY matter and no one else.

"If you don't like Trump you should not take his money"

It isn't his money. It is ours. We pay it with our taxes.

"Our governor only wants national attention so he can get money from the government because our state is broke"

Well, NO SHIT SHERLOCK!...THAT is our tax money...we are owed it for a crisis. That is how the federal governemnt helps the states in a crisis...like hurricane's and tornados...think Nashville..do you think they can rebuild on their own? Pfft not without federal help)

Those are the people who will bite off their own foot before helping someone else.

I am here in that state with you. I am not as stupid as you. My children and family deserve this help.

WE ALL DESERVE THIS HELP.

I don't know how we slowly became what we are ...today...but I want to know how we can fix it. I am terrified of the hateful way people treat each other. I am tired of being angry that a large number of people that live in the same place I do can have such disregard for human life.

It's more like a facepalm, for me. I have never seen more people be willfully ignorant in the information age, but, we don't generally walk amongst geniuses. It's hard to be angry at people who lack the brains to comprehend what's going on.

I definitely blame part of the panic buying/shortages on the stores who set no limits or rules and are clueless on how to enforce them.

@uncalled4 I would be less angry if they were willing to listen to reason.

@JaggedLittlePill Same here, and you make great points in your post.
JaggedLittlePill · 46-50, F
@uncalled4 well the stores might have done that had they gotten warning. Like the rest of us...we didn't get real warning either.

@JaggedLittlePill Some stores are STILL not doing it, and in the case of one such store near me, there are limits, but people buy, leave, and re-enter the store and no one says a word. These aren't criminal masterminds, just moron managers.

@uncalled4 oh...see I didn't realize this. Yes, that is ridiculous. Around here there are limits on certain things.
uncalled4 · 56-60, M
@JaggedLittlePill It also speaks to the entitled assholes who deprive others. I'd start banning people who can't follow the rules

@uncalled4 we apparently had groups of people at parks ...playing basketball and soccer and shit. So the last few days the city has put out a bunch of notices. Like...hello!

@JaggedLittlePill people were gathering by that hospital ship(name escapes me) in NYC. Uhhhh....SARS-CoV-2 doesn't give a shit WHY you're in close proximity......smdh.
