I Have Something to Say

Just the other day my 86 year old mother was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. My siblings & I have been trying to get answers from testing for my mother for months now. Finally some blood test has revealed that she has pancreatic cancer. I feel incredibly sad because she's my mother and she's old. My instincts tell me that she's not going to be living for much longer. It's already bad that her kidneys are failing. The cancer just adds more to her issues. I have been silently numb about this and silently praying for her.

Celebrate her life and let her do whatever she wants to do.

Having a bad diagnosis can be a bitter gift.

Do not mourn her being sick. Give her whatever support she needs and be sure to cherish smiles and memories and don’t be afraid to make new ones.

My thoughts are with you and your family.
