I Have Something to Say
LEAF BLOWERS OUGHT TO BE ILLEGAL!!!
(I'm yelling so I can be heard over the leaf blower outside my window).
These hideous devices have deprived many of badly needed naps. I don't always sleep well at night and naps fill in for me.
Many times, I have been drifting off to sleep when I hear that awful whining noise outside my window and realize I won't be napping that afternoon
It actually makes me ill. The whining drone is as nauseating and disturbing as the sound of a dentist's drill. Then there's the allergy pills I have to take after it stirs up the dust.
All that noise and misery instead of the natural peaceful sounds of a rake and a broom. It has also deprived many unskilled laborers of work. It's something teenage kids used to do for pocket money.
Ear plugs don't work with this machine because the vibrating droning sounds are so penetrating they go right into your head. Ear plugs will turn down the volume a little bit but they don't remove the sound. It's a sound that loosens tooth fillings and generates headaches that last for hours.
The two worst inventions of the 20th century: Leaf blowers and phone menus. But at least with phone menus you can hang up and take a break. Leaf blowers are the worst invention in my lifetime.
