We are really sorry that you are not happy with this.

When we released that feature, we indeed saw some users not liking that, so we stopped the country to be set by default for new members. It is definitely not our intention to break our users' privacy. However, I wouldn't think that sharing the Country would be an issue. But we are listening to you, so we made a change.

Please blank your country and it will not be shared anymore.

EP did have it in a way for some that I found acceptable. It made a reference to time zone in the profile. I found that helpful to know if I was communicating with someone near enough to me to be awake or half asleep.

It's different for eg americans - you live in a large country, there's small countries where you could find people easier. Plus, I actually don't want to know where people are from if we're just sharing stories like this.

You can set it to "world" like I did.

Coolman doesn't matter I'm not concerned about being stalked. It's about privacy.

Go to "Edit your Profile." Scroll down to "Your Country." Select the blank space at the top of the list. Click "Save."

You can change it in your profile. Change it to Antarctica and everyone will understand the message.

I think it should not even be an option! EP was more private.

I didn't like that either, but I just changed mine to blank.

I think so too. You can choose not to show it though.
