I Have Something to Say
the first day of the new year and it’s cold and gray
finding myself out and about my body barked and lurched as it walked, rather hobbled in all of its broken self
I swear, I promise to take care of myself, lose weight, fix my eyes and give myself a fighting chance of living this year in less pain, wouldn’t that be a good thing
I’m not an old guy, just complacent and oft times a bit on the lazy side finding excuses rather than solutions and every year I sing the same tired old songs this is going to be the year...
Well this year is going to be a better year for me all the way around in relationships and in the way I live my life. And if not I’m blaming myself for my failure...
But I’m not going to fail, not again, not this new year...
