I Have Something to Say

The other day after Christmas at my aunt's house (I didn't go because I wasn't feeling well), my aunt told my mom, "I want you and Jupiter to come up here next week so we can have a talk."
In reference to when she was rude to me. Four months ago.

My mom made a little remark (they're sisters, btw), "Sounds great, be sure to have (uncle's name here) around. Because like your pastor said before, it's good to get everything out in the open."
That baffled my aunt and she said, "Well I guess he could find time for it despite being so busy..."

My mom has been angry at her all these months. I'm not going because at this point it's literally just a game to my aunt, who thinks we've got nothing else to do -- I mean, both me and my mom are making plans to move, I've only got a few months to make preparations for my overseas venture, work, etc... I don't have time for this drama. :/
I also don't wanna be there for when it inevitably turns in to a fight between my mom and aunt. Shouting gives me literal panic attacks. 😰

I don't understanddd eep

It's an uncomfortable position to be in - as if the two sisters are using you as the basis for their angst. I suspect the root of their issue lies further in the past, though, like before you were even born. 🤔

@VeronicaPrincess Kinda... A lot of people have a problem with my aunt because she tends to live in a bubble, exclude people if they're different from her or have problems, tries to convert them if they have different beliefs, etc...

I've heard that between the two of them, my grandparents appreciated my mom a little more because she was less difficult... :/

Often the guise of fixing is nothing more than an opportunity to air bad feelings...
