Why do so many antisocial people end up on social media sites? Is it like spreading their misery to others is therapeutic for them?

For some of us, it is far easier to write in text that we can modify before sending our thoughts and feelings out there. I have become better (verbally speaking), though I still stutter, slur my speech, and am a nonlinear thinker and talker. In print, though, it's a different story. :)

I know you! You're NOT antisocial! :-) I'm referring to the obviously hostile people who inhabit social media.
