I Have Something to Say

A man who truly loves God knows he has someone to answer to, this not only allows the man to truly understand love for what it is but to fear God and remain faithful to him which inevitably leads to being faithful to his wife, to love God for who he is truly changes and redirects man’s heart and life because God himself is love, therefore in a relationship where God is the center things will never fail because the foundation is that rock of salvation that eternal source. This is why so many people have lost sight of what’s really important, giving themselves up to selfish desires losing track of who they are as described in Romans 1. Because they have given up on God(true love) the only way they can experience anything interpreted as love is through physical pleasure rather than spiritual.
love your wives as Christ loved the church to the point of self sacrifice 🙌 to the point of death is the commandment.
👉If she doesn’t make you feel like giving up your life for God and for her it’s not worth it.👈

Thats pretty twised. You can't love someone that demands that you love them or they will burn you in a lake of fire FOREVER! That sounds like abuse to me.
Lincoln98 · 26-30, M
@Dolimyte You ate very correct. Which is why God never demands that He be loved. The statement itself is self-conflicting, for live cannot be demanded - whatever would produce from such demand is not genuine love but a facade stirred up by fear(?).

Love is not fear

1 John 4:18
There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.

@Lincoln98 Um, that contradicts the whole point of your original post
A man who truly loves God knows he has someone to answer to, this not only allows the man to truly understand love for what it is but to fear God and remain faithful to him
Don't you see that?
Lincoln98 · 26-30, M
@Dolimyte oh! 😸 You have it all wrong, mate. "The Fear of God" does not mean subservience from terror or dread. Lol. No. Entirely different.

Shai Linne explains it best.
Proverbs 1:7 says that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge
What exactly is the fear of the Lord?
When you think fear, what comes to mind?
Well, when it comes to fearing God
You shouldn't think fear
In the same way a person fears snakes
Or heights
Or the mafia
Nah, the idea is more
What you think as you're staring
Out into the vastness of the ocean
Or standing on the precipice
Of the Grand Canyon
To fear the Lord is to stand in awe
Before the reality of God
Therein lies the problem
In this sin-infected world we live in
The fear of the Lord is the exception
Not the rule
Scripture teaches that the fear of the Lord
Is hatred of evil and
That it's by the fear of the Lord
That one turns away from evil
But it says in Romans 3:10
“None is righteous, No, not one, No one understands;
No one seeks for God. All have turned aside;
Together they have become worthless; No one does good, not even one.”
Then it goes on to say in verse 15
“Their feet are swift to shed blood
In their paths are ruin and misery
And the way of peace they have not known."
And what's the reason for that?
What's the source of all the violence and evil?
Verse 18
“There is no fear of God before their eyes.”
So all evil in this world
Can be traced back to not fearing the Lord
And if the fear of the Lord is a fountain of life
Then not fearing the Lord
Must lead to death
And that's where we all stand
In the prophet Isaiah chapter 11
We find a prophecy about a Savior to come
And it says in verse 3 that His delight
Shall be in the fear of the Lord
That savior is none other than Jesus Christ
Who lived a life of perfect obedience to God's law
Jesus feared God perfectly
And He died on the cross
And rose from the grave
To save His people from their sins
So that all who trust Him
Can joyfully walk
In the fear of the Lord
Forever

@Lincoln98 typical religious tactic, redefine a word so it has a special meaning that only applies to that specific context. I see it done all the time with faith, love and truth as well. The fact is, when most people talk about fearing god, they mean that he will send you to hell if you don't live up to his standards. Thats not someone I feel should be loved or worshiped.
Lincoln98 · 26-30, M
@Dolimyte Actually, mate, this is no redefinition. Of anything, it only is better elaboration. Pick the bible up for yourself and read, mate - God's own said words even - and you would come to realise this for yourself.

I take no pleasure in leading people astray

Cheers🙂

@Lincoln98 I have read the bible for myself. Can't say I like whats in there. It would be a truely horrifying account of history if I thought for a second that any of it was true. Besides, as its pointed out in the article you provided, the bible does a pretty poor job of conveying it's message in English. One would need to know greek and hebrew and read it in its original format to get the proper understanding. The articale also does nothing to negate that god should be feared. It just says he should be feared in a spacific way. If someone is willing to burn you forever, you should be scared of them and not honour and love them. That idea is just sick.

@Dolimyte The child fears the discipline of the hand so he knows better than to take a cookie against instruction; the layperson knows the punishment of breaking the civic law so he refrains from crossing it; the student knows the penalty of lateness so he stops himself from crossing the principal.
These "fears" are not rooted in utmost dread & terror but of a healthy nature. It is to keep the one from doing what is wrong. The child loves his father and the fear of the penalty of doing what is wrong keeps him from commiting that wrong.

The love is there & healthy - just as the fear, which is used in good context - and not a fear of the entire being.

People go to hell not because they choose to sin/transgress in other words, break the law (just as a judge would serve in a court of law).
And Holiness is a precious thing to God. So he calls EVERYONE to repent and stop delighting in sin/breaking a holy law. If they refuse too, is that then his fault?

God never commands anyone to love Him - because love cannot be forced - but He makes mention of loving Him & how He might help us love Him (by repenting and turning away from evil).

You did well to read the Bible, mate, but not so much to understand what you read. I did not need to read the Greek and Hebrew versions before I understood. I sincerely sought & the Holy Spirit gladly revealed.
Dolimyte · 41-45, M
@Lincoln98 none of your examples can compare to a supposed relationship with god. If my child takes a cookie and I set him on fire for disobeying me, is that ok? Such a punishment is vastly out of scale with the transgression, but it would be over fairly quickly. Gods wrath lasts an eternity.

You also have mentioned god does not command love.

Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image,
or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: 5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; 6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

I'd say its pretty clear that he does demand love. Not only would I be punished with eternal hellfire for not doind so, but my descendants would be punished for four generations. Is that a loving act, to punish the innocent?

I did pick up a bible and studied it when I was a christian. That when I realized it was just a collection of myths and superstitions with no value in today's world. It became clear that christianity is all a big deception serving only to control the masses. That's why I'm now an Atheist.

@suzie1960 "The best cure for Christianity is reading the Bible,” Mark Twain
suzie1960 · 61-69, F
@Dolimyte Very few christians have any idea what the bible says, they just swallow the propaganda without question. Atheists know the bible far better than christians.
