I Have Something to Say

For all those people upset about the way illegal immigrant families and children are treated at the border, what do you think should be done instead. There are many faces to the crisis happening at our Mexican border, but all we see in the headlines are emotional commentators and politicians with pictures of crying children and cages. Instead of the emotions, how about suggesting solutions. Just suggesting that families not be separated is only half of a solution, so if that's your first half can you also please share the second half of your solution?

(1) What should the border patrol do with families where the parents cannot provide evidence that the children are their children?

(2) What should the border patrol do with children who aren't accompanied by their parents?

(3) What should the border patrol do with children if their parents are known criminals?

(4) What should the border patrol do with children if their parents are repeat illegal entrants?

(5) What steps should the border patrol take to keep the families together if the parents are arrested and charged with crimes?

So......Other people's children don't warrant a 'Duty of care' ?
Foreigners children have committed such awfulness they NEED to be segregated; confined; abused by other people in internment camps because having enacted a policy the soppy government can't or won't ensure people are repatriated safely, immediately ?

70 odd years ago a frustrated Austrian usurper did similar things across Eastern Europe.

Prefer that comparison ?
Do it properly and swiftly for the right reason or don't do it at all.

It's not for the reasonably minded to come up with acceptable excuses for racist political leaders with no control over their OWN BORDER.

@TotalMiss And what do you imagine a 'Licenced childcare facility' is ?
Some sort of 'Play nicely children while I get some milk and cookies' place ?
If I was to come to your town and separate your innocent children from their parents do you STILL think it's a good thing to do ?
They're talking either about 'juvenile detention centres' or internment camps.
You know. The kind of thing you see on the news in Iran or Syria ?

@Picklebobble2 Parents take sole responsibility here. Their actions have consequences. It’s no one’s fault except the parents.

@Picklebobble2 What about personal responsibility? The only people to blame for this abuse of children is the parents. Somehow, I don’t think walking into another country dragging young children along, across dangerous territory, will have me welcomed with open arms. I’d be arrested and God knows what would happen to the children. Illegal means just that. To conflate this with concentration camps is beyond absurd. These people have a choice. The Jews never had a choice. They were starved, beaten, and either worked to death, gassed or shot. It’s an insult to those who suffered in that time to compare like this.
