LyricalOne Focus on the silver lining too much, and you'll be drenched in self-deception. Kids should know it ain't gonna be perfect. That life is rough and you have to fight and work to get through, to obtain stability and contentedness.
That's a lot nicer than saying, "Yeeeeah! Everything is gonna be perfect, always! Everything is amazing, all the time!"
I don't choose to enforce people who say they will always be happy. Starting with a false premise will end up hurting them more, in the long run. I'd rather be viewed as a downer than supporting a false premise that will hurt them more in the long run.
The only reason people won't tell it how it is, is because they selfishly want to be viewed in a positive light.
