The Nazis censored expression.
In fact, they told artists what was acceptable art and showcased it in an annual "Great German Art" Exhibition. The colors were usually muted except for the red of the Nazi flag, and acceptable themes were motherhood, farming/agriculture...very similar to Communist art.
[They also had "Degenerate Art" exhibitions to showcase art they found not worthy...and it was always better attended than the great german art exhibition lol. It had mainstream art of the time.]
Yes it is ironic that such a guy would censor comments.
