I Have Something to Say

Being with someone who’s chronically sick sucks!!! I’m so tired of taking care of my gf that has severe cluster migraines. I feel bad for saying it but I’m tired of feeling guilty and always having to stay home because she’s sick and wants me to be home with her. I am aware I sound like an asshole but unfortunately this is how our entire relationship has been. At first I didn’t realize the severity of her migraines and I really tried being there for the past 1 year 1/2. What’s worst she can’t keep a job because of it. Doctors won’t give her pain meds because of the opioid crisis. We are always buying from the black market and it’s so expensive. She relies on me to do everything and I’m so fed up with it. I’ve tried talking to her about it and she just apologizes and doesn’t try to find solutions by trying alternative methods like acupuncture, weed, healthy eating, excersise etc. I’m just so done with it I’m resenting her. I know it’s time for us to part and I feel bad for leaving her like this but I cannot continue to hold myself back for her. It’s to the point where I can’t sometimes pay my bills on time and I’m not that type of person to mess up my credit. Btw!!! Lesson learned next time I even date someone I’m asking for medical records!!

First of all, she should find out what is causing her migraines. Did she get test done? Like a brain scan, thyroid, arthritis, and blood work? There could be a serious problem with her health that she is not aware of. Is she depressed? Second, if she can't keep a job because of her medical problems she needs to see if she can apply for Disability benefits. She needs to decide on how she can fix this problem instead of putting all the burden on you. You should sit down talk to her about how and what she needs to do to fix this. Tell her sitting and doing nothing is not going to solve her issue.
