Why not? I didn't date much in my 20's and had horrible social anxiety, but I still managed to get out.

@SW-User Depends on the person, I guess, but it's kinda hard to get to know someone if you don't take the plunge. Unless--of course--not on your road map. My desires overtook my anxiety.
