I understand the meaning but without judging each other how would we have any standards of morals and ethics, just a thought.

@SW-User Can’t we choose to be good since we know what it is?
Lynb1960 · 61-69, F
@SW-User It a good question, and I feel that we can only judge ourselves for our own morals and ethics... the morals and ethics of another are for them to judge and understand....

SW-User
@SimplyTracie how would you know without comparing yourself with others, and others with yourself? It's very subtle but it's there!
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@SW-User Your parents taught you. You in turn teach you child what is good, right? That’s how we know.

@Lynb1960 so we shouldn't intervene (judge) when someone else's morals or ethics are less than ours? Say the treatment of women, or a particular race? Crime maybe? Unsure?
Lynb1960 · 61-69, F
@SW-User A comparison between you an another is not needed if your morals and ethics are what you believe is true.. and there will always be people who are greater and smaller, possess more intelligence and some less. Each one of us are one person... We are our own problems as well as our own solutions...

SW-User
@Lynb1960 only if life were so simple.
Lynb1960 · 61-69, F
@SW-User No we shouldn't judge, We can try and correct their actions but the out come is entirely on their shoulders... If you feel that what is happening to a particular person who is being treated badly in your eyes, then perhaps try and take them out of the equation, and help them... the person who is causing the bad and is not willing to change his ways then that is their issue not yours.

@SW-User I agree... But we can change ourselves and hope that people we associate with will in turn make their own changes for the better.. Stranger things have happened.
