I was so excited when I found this site to connect to people with the same interests as me but most people have stopped talking with me and the new people who reach out have been kind of rude lately :(

Keep trying, you'll find people who you get along with. Just listen to your instincts tho, if people are rude you are not obliged to keep talking to them, good luck
