I Have Something to Say

A lot of youngsters develop invisible friends.
They are often a way of investigating imaginative play.
Why are they created?
Well, it's widely thought they are often a form of comfort. Usually in times of boredom or lonliness.
Imaginary friends are also often associated as a form of soothing during a big transition.
For example when parents separate; moving to a new house or school. Or when the house increases with a new arrival.
In fact it utilises a lot of fledgling social skills as well as creative ones !

I think most of Donald Trump's friends are invisible.

If you've never seen it. There is a somewhat humorous movie out there called Drop dead Fred !
It's about a young woman who at the age of 20+ suddenly gets visited by the'invisible friend' of her childhood during a time of extreme stress in her life.
It's funny to watch but also gives a good idea how it seems from a child's point of view.

Invisible friends are not stupid, but very helpful. I remember I had one by my own as I was a small boy. He helped me through many difficult situations. I felt stronger with him, especially then, when my brother or sisters couldn´t be with me, when I was afraid or felt terrible lonely. So just be happy with your memories about Frenchi :)
