As one who has survived bullying I would not necessarily agree. I did have to persevere. I did have to toughen myself in order to get through the ordeals without crying. But I never succumbed to hatred. I may pity those who tormented me but I do not hate them.

You have to be taught to hate....but the day I learned not to cry was when my grandfather died and my siblings needed one of us to be the strong one (I was upset, but didn’t hate....I didn’t learn that until I was hurt intentionally and needed to show that same strength).
