I Have Something to Say

I am one of those who despairs that the West cares more about pets than children, but my heart breaks how some Floridians abandoned their pets as Irma approached. At least, unlike the killing of unborn babies, these scumbags will be prosecuted. [c=#BF0000] https://usat.ly/2wimdxB[/c]

If you mean that we don't seem to care about the children of the rest of the world, who die from preventable illness, malnutrition, unsanitary conditions, hazardous environments, and generally suffer from having shitty lives, then yes.

However, our pets are like our kids, so those who cannot care for a pet like a child, should not have one.
@Northwest What I mean is that the West is barren. The Demographic Winter is no myth and is descending upon us. It is worst in Europe, but the U.S. is not far behind -- with the recent recorded birth rate the lowest since recording began. In two generations there will be no more Italians. Not that no one is having babies -- the Muslim immigrants are having babies. The future belongs to the born. [c=#BF0000]http://bit.ly/23OtqVj

Abstractly helping children by cleaning up the environment means little if they are not allowed to come into being.

@beckychandler I'm sure you're aware Becky given where you live that in the US at least our demographics are not as dire as the Hispanic population is still growing
@Kathryn05 Hispanic immigrants are the only thing that is keeping the U.S. birth rate from dipping below replacement rate.

@beckychandler So, the answer to first generation immigrants having more than 2 kids, is to have more than 2 kids? Why do you think this makes sense?
