I Have Something to Say

Over the last few years I have realized that being different can be challenging. I am a 37 year old woman with children and I have certain hobbies that the women my age don't . For instance I love playing with my RC cars outside. I would love to join this RC car community club around my area but it's mainly guys so I wouldn't feel comfortable. I also love playing with my Rubiks Cube and IQ twist brain teaser games. Reading is also another favorite thing of mine. I don't care what people think of me because I rather be me. I'm not going to do what everyone else does just because everyone else is doing it. I think that is ludicrous. I also dress different than most women my age as well but again I have never been the person to follow the crowd. I am a leader not a follower. I just have a hard time talking to other people. Despite not fitting in I'm not going to stop doing the things I love because I have children who I am instilling these same values in and I have to lead by example. I do get sad sometimes because I don't have a lot of friends to talk to. Does anyone else have this problem?

Start your own RC car club for females and post the info somewhere. Make it ladies only. I am sure there are more around. I get lonely sometimes but do enjoy solitude. I read and mostly I write.

That is an awesome idea! I will look into that. Writing a book is a life goal of mine. I would love to be a writer. Not for the $ but for the passion. @lasergraph

@Ang444 The passion is the only reason to write. If it was for the money I would have stopped long ago. I publish on Kindle. First as e-books and now Amazon has a print on demand service. I am making print versions of all.
