I Have Something to Say

When I was about 14 years old, I went on a camping trip with my family. We stayed at Bear Creek in Marion County, AL. After a day of fishing and swimming, we turned in for the night around 10:00. Since I had trouble sleeping, as usual, I was eventually the only one awake. The flap near my head was open on the tent, allowing me to see up into the sky. I was blown away by how many stars there were. At some point, I noticed something in the sky approaching. It was a bright light. It wasn't blinking, and there was no sound coming from it. It was quite large, like the size of a full moon. It gracefully passed over, illuminating the tops of the trees. All I could do was watch in awe. I was the only person, to my knowledge, seeing this. I believe this was the beginning of a series of events in my life. I have seen more things like this throughout my life, some of which were terrifying. It's something I still struggle with. There are many details I never discuss, but it would be nice to do so.

hi BuzzCut
Interesting.
Events such as this could be a number of things.
The literal explanation is you saw a UFO.
A more psychological explanation would be you dreamt it as you were having trouble sleeping and presumably drifted in and out of sleep.
The event could also have changed in the time since the original as you refined and reinforced your belief over the actuality.
I of course was not there and have no information beyond that which you have ventured.
You refer to a series of events you would like to discuss. I suggest you do so with a therapist as you say you struggle with these memories.
I do not have any opinion and as I said it is interesting.
Best wishes
:)
