What do you make of this situation?

A couple has this guy friend whom they are fond of and he visits often. They also have a 15 year old daughter. The friend and the daughter appears to be very close. The mom and dad knows they are close as the dad once asked the friend to unlock the daughter's cellphone since she shares everything with this friend... And the daughter seems to know everything about this guy friend as well. I know of at least once when the friend took the daughter out alone for a day. I also know that her school usually calls this guy friend for anything related to their daughter, even when she is ill at school. Whenever he visits their home the daughter hugs and kisses him on the lips.

But I must add that I have never noticed anything cringy between them. Except they are really close.

What do you make of this?

@TempuraShrimp I would have thought so too. Though she has a boyfriend (which both her mom and dad hate by the way lol). And this guy was introduced to the boyfriend even before her own parents met him. The parents explained to me about what happened the first time he came to meet them and the friend was there and when they spoke about this boy, they assumed the friend didnt know about him, until the daughter mentioned that he already met him.

I guess I'm just confused lol

@SW-User I would not exactly say that is the case. The guy sees other adult women. I once saw the daughter take his cellphone and reply to a chic he was texting and the chic on the other seemed to be aware of the daughter and she was chatting to this chic for a while.

And his attention is not exactly super focused on the daughter like an obsession kinda look one would probably expect to find in a pedo. Oh and apparently they know each other for years.

@iMystery IF something untoward were going on, I find it hard to believe that neither the parents nor the daughter have thrown up any red flags.
