Between Wednesday afternoon and early on Monday morning, there were 44 people shot within the city of Chicago. Data taken by the Tribune reported that eight of those who were shot lost their lives.
Chicago crime notes the shooting total so far for the month of November, is 33 shot and killed, and 143 wounded. Year-to-date, a total of 3326 people have been shot in Chicago, 580 fatally. Of the homicide victims, 77.9 percent were black. Police officers were involved in only ONE percent of the shootings.
