I Have a Question

If a married woman loved you like a brother or sister in Christ, and really felt love for you and wanted to give you the occassional hug, and put her hand on your shoulder, and to share a part of her being with you, not romantically but like a true friend, how would you feel? But she made it clear she didn't want you developing romantic feelings for her either, just platonic non romantic love.

I'm a guy and I have a TON of women friends at church... some are even married. We pray together, talk, and yes, give each other a hug with NOTHING impure or sexual going on. We're brothers and sisters in Christ.

@Theosis: Maybe that's the only place I can have this Christian brotherly love too is at church. I just wanted it everywhere I went.

Well, we're all supposed to love one another as Christ love us.

@Theosis: Unfortunately I have made the mistake of confusing Christian love with romantic love with guy friends when I went to college, simple passing thoughts like whoa If I were single I'd marry him, or wishing to be touched in a gentle way, but God brought it to my attention that I still wasn't loving as Christ did. So I got to study how He loved, now that I know the difference between romantic love and brotherly love, now I want to know Christs love.
