I Have a Question

Why do people judge age?? Like young people apparently we are dumb and immature? Or old people are boring or just anything?? It doesn't matter what age you are! We all have feelings and everyone has different mind sets! I'm in my teens and I'm more mature than a lot of adults here! Do you think age makes a person? Yes or no?

G-frost67 how about some examples of what a 13-15 year old goes through "more than an adult" kids never give concrete examples...they just say stuff like that...what have YOU been through that is more intense than someone 50 years older than you? Most of us have been molested somehow if that's where you're gonna go, had our hearts broken after years and years (way longer than you've been breathing) in a relationship, I could give YOU a thousand examples of things you could not possibly understand because YOU HAVE NOT EXPERIENCED IT YET. The fact that you keep pleading your 13-15 year case just proves how young and inexperienced you truly are. Face it kid...you're a kid...or you would not keep trying to convince us that you aren't...dead giveaway

there it is,CinanaminBunNy,,,,being on internet should be a way to communicate with anyone across barriers,if it's someone young,there's the protetection of space and being annomyous,very valid point,

I dont think its right. But I can see why its a thing, to me it seems like the reasoning behind it is. Somebody who has lived longer may have more life experience and could be more mature as a result. But nothing is that black and white

CinnamonBunNy you are correct that we might be less likely to prejudge people with their ages weren't listed. That might even be the case for gender and other criteria we use to judge people by. I think there is an acute awareness of the pedophiles that hang on these sites and some listings are safety precautions.

I'm not saying I did. I'm saying other kids. I'm guessing you were raised with a shelter and food. Some kids been raised in a home filled with drugs, getting molested and abused, some kids don't even have a home or something to eat. Some kids get bullied to where they can't take it anymore. Some kids don't feel safe when they go home because of an immature adult. That is why I think it's equal. Yes I'm a kid and I'm proud to be a kid. But don't tell me (since I'm not old and since you aren't eve related to me) that I can't have an opinion and feelings bud.
Hiwhatsup8989 · 22-25, F
Sometimes the kids go through more than adult will ever have to. But I respect your opinion
Cinnamon · 31-35, F
This old lady says thank you for these thoughts :)

The internet gives us a wonderful opportunity to communicate with people across all age barriers. I would actually prefer if a site like this did NOT expect us to list an age, or a gender. That would be a challenge to really be open to people for their minds and personalities, not their appearance or social categories.
Yes. I do. You may think you're more mature than an adult.. but we all thought that when we were teenagers. Hell, I'm even more mature now then when I was in my 20's.

The media paints a stereotype of what each age is, some people believe that. The more the generations interact the more we can understand each other.
KellyBear · 41-45, F
No shouldn't matter what age someone else is. The ppl older than you, including myself, can learn from kids too.
Blue you must learn a lot then because you comment on 13-15 year olds post a lot.. even want to know their kik. I know you'll disagree.. but a few of us has observed it.
Bluesky52 · 61-69, M
@KellyBear,,,,I agree,we can also learn about ourselves,
slenderboy · 22-25, M
People judge by a lot of things. Skin color, language, looks, none of it makes any sense really
Hiwhatsup8989 · 22-25, F
@pinkrainbow I respect you're opinion

i hate it when kids think they know more about life than adults three times their age just because they have experienced one aspect of it, but at the same time, you can't treat everyone the same way (such as instantly categorising young people as dumb and immature or old people as boring). Personal intellect and maturity comes from learning academically and learning through experience. You need to look beyond biological age and focus on what the person has done in their lifetime however short or long that may be in the moment.

it shouldn't matter,
Hiwhatsup8989 · 22-25, F
I was speaking for Every age. I didn't say a specific age. I think people need to look at the people and personality not age

G-frost67 ...I couldn't help but notice that you are not answering any of the questions asked of you...how come?
There's a saying that goes, "Back when I was a teenager when I knew it all".. so true.
Hiwhatsup8989 · 22-25, F
@mic I agree completely
Hiwhatsup8989 · 22-25, F
There aren't any questions there are comments and I do. Why do you have anymore ignorant questions to ask me?
mic11225 · 26-30, M
Age is very important. The older you are the more potential you have for experience which can lead to wisdom and maturity. However, age is not a sole defining factor. There are plenty of immature and foolish adults.
Fernie · F
"dumb and immature" certainly not dumb...kids your age know a thousand times more than I did at your age.However, If a 5 year old came up to you and spoke to you as if he or she knew more than you did..acted like you were a moron simply because they saw you as "OLD" ....even though you'd been alive 3 times longer than that kid...what would you think?
Prometheus · 26-30, M
Age is a good record to understand where the body is at in physical maturation. however if you does it make you intelligent then hell no ive met so many immature adults it is almost ridiculous.
