I'm okay with escalators but do think its one of the worlds mysteries why the handrails can go at a different speed to the stairs..Maybe Frustratedseth can explain?

I do some work fixing and maintaining escalators and have become quite good at balancing on them in all situations.

i always clutch the guardrail and hold my breath when i step off. when i was a kid i saw an episode of Rescue 911 where the kid was almost strangled bc she somehow got tangled in the escalator.

I just go on the stairs. I also find it satisfying to go past the people on the escalators because they cant go faster... :D

I can't use them at this point haha. Walking with a cane makes them tricky.
