The issue revolves around the power imbalance between the two. The older person has more life experience and can wield that to coerce the younger person into something they are not ready for.

Imagine yourself in the shoes of that little girl's father and then answer your own question.

Kids will be kids, and adults can't always control that. But the 25 year old is an adult and is supposed to know better. But more to the point, as AvGeek said, how can there even be an attraction to the child?

@UnparalleledMonster Well, let's bring in some science then: one's mind is not fully developed until around 26 years old. So the changes in your mind before that are much drastic in contrast to after you are 26 years of age. So that is why no one really gets that upset.

Because let's face it older guys would take advantage because they could. Human nature. Other teens are probably just as innocent in their intentions. That would be the moral reasons

I think "age of consent" laws can be a grey area at times. I mean if the legal age of consent is 18, is it wrong to have sex with someone on the day before their 18th birthday?. But I do think a line has to be drawn somewhere, so I would say that yes, an adult having sex with a 15 year old is definitely inappropriate.

We weren't talking about what's legal... So you shouldn't have even mentioned that. All he wanted was your opinion. You chose to argue. I'm from the West, and I don't necessarily think it's wrong. So don't speak for everyone.

I think people only see things as wrong, because of how it is in their country. The age of consent is different in many places. It is normal for 15 and older to happen in some places.

Most young people don't reach maturity until they are in their 20's. A 15 year old is not usually mature enough to handle the responsibility of the consequences of those decisions.

Un - the availability of grown women had to do with - why go for a child when you can have a grown woman.

It may be easy for you to understand. Speak for yourself. As I said "I can't understand" why a grown man would even consider being intimate with a child when there's endless numbers of hot women all over the place. My the it's the child thing that blocks me mentally (?) Whatever it is....thank god I have it!

I have a 16 year old sister. She has some quite attractive friends. I recognize that. But I don't want to get intimate with them. I guess if grown women didn't fire me up so much, or if there weren't any - maybe?

My question is - why on earth would a 25 year old man WANT to have sex with a 15 year old girl? Does he not know what is abundantly available to him that is over 18? Unless he's only interested in teen girls and not grown women, A 15 year old is still mentally, physically and emotionally a child I don't care how mature they appear or present in each category.

It's not something I can understand or wrap my head around.

To be fair he didn't ask if it was legal, he asked if you think it's right. Big difference.

I'd say it depends on the maturity of the child, if they were ready for sex, and knew what they wanted then I don't see a problem with it. As long as it's not a secret and it's not coerced. The problem though is that not many 15 year olds are very mature these days, and they would likely regret it if they are not ready and think they are- which is so common.

I didn't have sex until I was 21. I would have LIKED to have had it sooner but we were "good kids".

Nothing but wrong. On soooo many levels.

If anything he was implying that it should also be considered wrong if a 15 year old and another 15 year old got busy in the sack since neither of them are of legal age to consent.

Legally yes, but I believe it depends how mature that girl is. At 15 she's probably not mature enough to deal with men yet, she should be suffering to the hands of inexperienced teenagers lol

Not really hard to understand. A 15 year old girl has developed secondary sex characteristics. Some more than others.
If a girl is sexually attractive then she's sexually attractive.
I don't know that the availability of other women has anything to do with it
