IS abortion murder? I think you can only murder a person and a fetus is not a person.

I was talking to a girl who seemed to feel that the only quality of personhood is being genetically human. Or at least she was unwilling to suggest any other characteristics that might make a person.

What say you?

Did you not understand the petri dish example? If you maintain that human and person are identical terms then human cells in a dish must count as a person.

So i'll ask again, do you feel that there is no difference between personhood and simply being genetically human?
Is the only thing that makes you a person the fact that you are a human?
If your consciousness existed as it is now in the body of another animal would you not be a person?
