I think we have a long way to go before humanity begins to understand that the way we treat others directly impacts our own quality of life. I am not sure why it is so difficult to try and see things from someone else's perspective or to love in spite of the flaws we have. Why is hate and anger the default?

Political correctness made an effort to silence the hate but it did nothing to eradicate it. There's probably more hatred now than there was 50yrs ago. We just don't talk about it.

We just die of old age, illness, accidents, or tragic events. We don't kill ourselves or each other, well it's not common anyway.

This is doubtful since there are 7 billion people on Earth, unless we nuke ourselves. And that is a great concern of mine.
