I Have a Question

Why do some people get married, but then continue to sleep and flirt with other people? It doesn't make sense. Why go through all the effort to get married, only to continue acting single? If you want to go around sleeping with anyone and everyone, just stay single. It's not even a religious thing, just marriage should be based on one of two things: mutual love and respect, and forming an alliance with another nation in time of war.

I tend to agree. That's why I'm 47 and have never married.
I don't judge....people get married when they are young...often those 2 people change and go different directions but have kids they stay together for or cannot afford to live separately...so they stay....and change....and lose interest....and get tempted.

In today's world of - I want it now - people don't have the patience or character to wait.
I also think that people don't think enough before the get married. They only see the now and not 50 years into the future.

I would love to have this same conversation with you when you are my age and hear what you have to say.

It is great that you feel so strongly about this. Make sure the partner you find feels the same about it.
