I Have a Question

Yesterday when I was giving exam at exam hall. I saw many red ants there.
Here in our India commonly there are two type of ants found
1. Red
2. Black
I have always notice that red ant always bite everyone and has very slow speed when they walk or run.
But on the other hand black ants doesn't bite and they run very fast as compare to red ants.
My question is why they both are different from each-other?

India is one of my favorite countries, but I hadn't really noticed its ants on my short visit a couple years ago.
Its sort of not off topic that when I was a teenager reading science fiction, many years ago, A.E.VanVogt had a story about a man who discovered the secret of the universe was that the war between black and red ants was the most important conflict which determined everything else on earth.

I am happy that India is your favorite country.
But I really don't know the story of war between Black and red ants.
Can you share?

@Priyeta100: Nobody knows that story, it was in a very obscure paperback book published in the 1950s or 60s,but maybe through the miracle of the internet I can find it.
