I Have a Question

@CallmeHopelessNotRomantic that's completely up to you and I don't insist that this site should be purely anonymous. When I discovered EP in 2010 I really liked the concept of anonymity and focus on experiences. It's the reason I signed up. Facebook is the place where I have my real name and picture and 90% of my 300+ friends on there are people I've met in real life. But there are things I don't want to share with every one of them. Not that I'm trying to hide something from them but some things are just non of their business. And I value my privacy. Here in SW I can share my experiences anonymously without people gossiping about me.

I also use Facebook for business and I don't need clients or business partners having problems with some ideas or views I have and lose business over it.

I'm just me as well but not everyone I know has to know everything about me that I don't mind sharing anonymously.

LastingSunshine as you are not an adult I would not put your personal pic. That's just my suggestion.

Lol I think the Facebook and this type of site is completely different. I consider the people I'm friends with here the same kinda of friends. I don't get the whole this site is to be anonymous. It's just another social networking site with different types of activity. I mean by all means be anonymous but the site isn't really insistent upon anonymity. It gives that option, but I don't feel the need to be anonymous ever. I'm just me.

I generally don't give out my picture until I've known someone for a while. But that's just me. Everyone should do what they're comfortable with, and it's interesting to read what everyone else says here. :)

No not here. Because for me this site is supposed to be anonymous. It's about sharing your experiences I think what I look like doesn't matter. A real picture will only make some people judge what you say by how attractive you are or what style you have.

A lot of it might be, but it's the result of the last 2 relationships.I wasn't always like that. But yeah they both messed me up.

I have Facebook, but I have too many religious people and political arguments when I log in. So I don't stay. Usually it's just long enough to unfriend someone lol. I just really can't comprehend the need so many have to be anonymous. Like what everyone else thinks about them means so much. I've never had any issues like that. It's sad to me. But it's also annoying that sites like this allow anonymity and people use it for the wrong reasons.

I'm not implying that people who use pics aren't their pics. I don't have reasons to believe a different thing. My first impulse is to believe that people are what they seem. Only putting an extreme example.

Jack...Are you serious? Why? I already explained why is more difficult for women. Thus, I think that if a girl put a pic of herself, automatically there will be a pile of guys thinking that you are " asking for war". I myself made the experiment on EP.
But, I'm very interested in reading your answer.

No need to get upset rogue, I was just saying I don't see it as black and white as everyone. I mean it's the same everywhere. We share what we share when we want. I'm not saying anybody is wrong I just think it's sad if people think they can't be accepted and they feel like they have to hide.

@ Sunshine: it's up to them to believe what they want. Many times, people who have difficulties to trust or believe others talks much more from them than you.

I'm ok with me, but I'm also well aware that not everyone will be. Like if someone especially men compliment me I get the strangest look on my face like confusion and the why are you saying that and what do you want from me lol

I do. Mostly because I get pissed off when people immediately ask for pictures. That and people got offended by my "I'm not that desperate and you're not that lucky" picture.

Haha I am careful and tell my friends to be careful. Because he likes to pretend he knows you from ep then when you try to ignore he will pull an I'm so depressed I need someone to talk to and doesn't like when he's not wanted. He started talking about wanting to hurt me and any guys I talk to.

No, because I have little kids and I don't want their safety compromised.

i appreciate when people use there real pics.....most people try to pretend there are someone they are not and its hard to connect with a fake persona

Yes I am, but it all depends on my mood. Sometimes I change depending on the way I feel

I don't feel beautiful. But I've just always been lucky that I was outgoing. I do keep things private. I'm not saying I don't. I guess maybe I'm just used to people not accepting me, so by now I'm used to it.

Ok. A cookie for the ones who use their real pics. I know what you mean. But, again...it's not so easy when you're a woman. If you put your pic here...there will be a pile of people here sending you pm comenting on it. I was said since that I was hot until that I look like a guy bc of my short hair.

I also like to see people faces. It's kinda more closseness but it doesn't mean that if you don't put your pic, you're a fake persona. A person is not only his physical appearance, neither a pic can catch your authentic physical appearance.
For example, I don't like being taking pic of myself.
Then, a pic doesn't mean I'm being real bc I could steal a Taylor Swift's pic and say that I am her.

Mine is of the comic actor Jimmy Edwards, who starred in a TV series from my childhood called Whacko! SW (and EP before it) is somewhere I can chat anonymously with adults who share my kink.

She's really being honest mahjack it's a no win situation. If I'm going to stay on this site I have to deal with either side. Either ignore because I do have my picture, or ignore and be pissed off because they accuse me of being fake when I don't consider them trustworthy.
