I wouldn't go that far. I think if you have a goal of trying to see the brighter side, the app would be helpful. Just to me it felt like only half of me was welcome. What wanders through my head is not always sunshine and roses regardless of my mood. I prefer all sides of a person, but I could see the benefit. I think they're very supportive there.

We're here to be ourselves. Sometimes that just means negative and depressing.

Did you know there's an app called Happier? You're only supposed to post positivity and encouragement there. The theory is that it should help you focus on those elements in your life.

@justnik, I didn't know about that app, but would it be like joining one of those "happy- clappy" churches, oozing in syrupy rhetoric?
