I Have a Question
Why do people try to tell me I'm not really gothic because I only wear makeup for costumes and when I really feel like it and half my wardrobe isn't black? Isn't gothic a lifestyle, not a fashion choice?

I love gothic music, when I do put on makeup, it's gothic style, my wall decorations are 95% gothic art(classical reproductions and modern), and if I had any control over my bedroom furniture, it'd be gothic revival on top of self-identifying as gothic. Why is it for some people, that's not enough to be gothic?
