My cat is shedding fur, how can I reduce his shedding

My mom says he should leave the house cuz there’s fur everywhere and he’s making the house dirty, But I don’t wanna him to leave, I love him so much, he’s been with me for 7 months, and I sleep with him, I like annoying him just to see his reactions, I’ve gotten so attached to him, and he’s litter trained, I don’t wanna him to leave, If he does I’ll cry, what should i do to stop him from shedding so much? İ really hope my cat doesn’t have to leave

Cats usually love it, or will get used to it if you’re gentle and keep trying.

Get a brush

We've always had a cat. Sometimes two. The only way to reduce the fur is to brush often. And that won't completely fix the problem. If you're going to have a cat you're going to have to put up with some cat hair.

Edit: Go to a pet store and get a brush designed just for that purpose.
It's normal for this time of the year

There’s no reducing how much they shed. You could perhaps get it used to being vacuumed daily.

Unless there's an underlying health issue
Could be stress

Brushing them daily helps, our cat loves this and actually has a spot she sits in when she wants to be brushed. But animals shed there’s no stopping it. Brush him and do more of the cleanup yourself, take ownership of the issue.
