Sometimes...rarely these days, and mostly in the past, I would get SO stressed out that my stomach would start churning up lots of acid...which is why I have like THREE ulcers. Sometimes it would get so bad that if I TRIED to eat, I would throw up acid.

Usually it lasted for 24 hours or until I took a prescription tablet.
4meAndyou · F
@MellyMel22 Yeah...she struck out on ONE hand, moved on to the other, and proceeded to insert the the IV into a nerve...then when I was crying and begging her to stop... she said, "Stop it. You're a grown woman!"
MellyMel22 · F
@4meAndyou What a witch 😳She needs to be fired. Reminds me of the nurse who injected me w/contrast for a full body CT. I was screaming take it out(needle) b/c it was burning, not the normal warmth- like my blood was on fire and she was telling me to relax it’s just warm it’s normal to be a big girl. I told my allergist and he said it was a severe allergy to the contrast and she should’ve known 😒

Idk how they can be trusted around patients.

Yeah it happens to me frequently. Usually takes 3-4 weeks sometimes longer but I have some issues lol I hope yours clears up soon. It can get tiring.
MellyMel22 · F
@EldritchFox I was just telling someone I should try that. I’ll def need to by tomorrow b/c I’ll be watching a toddler and can’t be passing out 😬
@MellyMel22 Yes definitely something with some protein and nutrients. Sip it slow if you need to. No passing out allowed and good luck you're gonna need your strength 💪🏼
MellyMel22 · F
@EldritchFox I only use fruits and orange juice 😅 But it’ll be better than nothing.
There have been times when I've eaten very little, but never have I not eaten at all.

Are you ok?
MellyMel22 · F
@MsSwan I haven’t been able to eat anything, not even a bite in 2 days.

I will be fine, eventually 😬
@MellyMel22 Wow. I hope you're at least drinking liquids.
MellyMel22 · F
@MsSwan Water
Cassieee · 31-35, F
Yes, happens occasionally but more when I was with my ex because of the anxiety he gave me.. usually lasts until whatever is shaking my nervous system is resolved.. 🫂 Are you okei babes? 💖
MellyMel22 · F
@Cassieee Thank you 🤍
11knaves11 · 46-50, M
I don't think anything stops me from eating, my back big
MellyMel22 · F
@11knaves11 That’s good!
Three weeks or so. I ate barely anything
MellyMel22 · F
@greensnacks That's a long time!
that and just bc of my body being weird af. it lasted... years.😞

might be time to see a doctor.
@MellyMel22 I hope so, that's rough. even if not the nutritional suppliments, maybe some gatorade or even pedialyte.
MellyMel22 · F
@DancingStarGoddess Yeah, thank you. I have about a half a bottle of that extra hydration Gatorade I didn’t finish a few days ago.
@MellyMel22 you're very welcome!
FreestyleArt · 36-40, M
When I have panic attack. I rarely eat at all
MellyMel22 · F
@FreestyleArt I’m sorry you have to deal with that 😔
fun4us2b · M
Yes, a few days..I was super stressed about something specific - I started t feel dizzy and realized I had to do something - mainly for my son, I started by eating some peanuts and then some grapes and went from there...maybe some raspberry sorbet for you!
MellyMel22 · F
@fun4us2b I’m glad you were able to change it! At the time, I can’t stomach anything.
I ate very little for two years during my worst anxiety period. I was down to a single can of tinned salmon and a few cherry tomatoes per day. I could almost link my hands around my waist. I just felt nausea all the time. These days I can't not eat, because of acid. If I go a single day without food it can trigger the beginnings of antral gastritis. So I have to eat, regardless of what is going on. Otherwise I have to OD on antacids and double up my PPI medication.
MellyMel22 · F
@InfoTunaBotTheReturn Yeah, thank you!
@MellyMel22 I was sensible for this whole exchange. I hope you noticed 👀
MellyMel22 · F
@InfoTunaBotTheReturn Yes, I’m very proud of you 😌
Degbeme · 70-79, M
I don`t think I have, it`s usually the opposite for me.
MellyMel22 · F
@Degbeme I think it depends on the type of stress. I can go either way and usually it’s the opposite.
Degbeme · 70-79, M
@MellyMel22 Well as @MsSwan mention just make sure you`re staying hydrated.
Yes. I "stress-fast". When my mother was dying I lost about 20 lbs and didn’t realize it until my first doctor appt after the funeral.
MellyMel22 · F
@bijouxbroussard Im sure that was the hardest time in your life ❤
bowman81 · M
@bijouxbroussard Stress puts me off my feed. Whenever we prepped for trial on a major case all I could force down was coffee. After the first day or two I could eat again.
TexChik · F
3 days, PTSD attack, could not keep anything down and had severr GI upset. The gut symptoms can last for a month or two if left unmedicated. It can be really very unpleasant.
MellyMel22 · F
@TexChik Ouch 😔
BrandNewMan · 61-69, M
Went through it over a personal life event or two. Lasted a couple days.
MellyMel22 · F
@BrandNewMan Thanks for sharing. I’m on 3 and hoping I can stomach a frozen smoothie soon at least.
BrandNewMan · 61-69, M
@MellyMel22 Hope you are ok and are able to get something soon. Be well, my friend.
MellyMel22 · F
@BrandNewMan Thank you.
GoFish ·
idk not for long .. are you anxious about something?
MellyMel22 · F
@GoFish Yeah, I assume eventually it should curb.
GoldnJulz · 46-50, F
Yes and it was difficult for several months and it went away after I had an “intervention” of comfort food made with love by my great aunt who was able to get me back to normal life in about 9 days. It was a very unpleasant experience of duodenitis brought on by excessive stomach acid which was caused by the stress that I experienced before going to a prestigious school that I had qualified into but was afraid I would not be able to keep up with the student body. It was an unpleasant 4 years that I only saw the benefits from when I started college and was able to achieve a 4.0 rather easily.
MellyMel22 · F
@GoldnJulz Thank you. I hope things can get easier for you. I imagine it’s incredibly difficult.
GoldnJulz · 46-50, F
@MellyMel22 Sometimes I wonder if I will ever improve but I try to remain hopeful and never think of giving up.
MellyMel22 · F
@GoldnJulz That’s so important!
Ive only ever had that if ive been nervous before some big event, (or too excited afterwards), been crying or fasting for more than two days🤷‍♀
MellyMel22 · F
@OogieBoogie Thanks for sharing 🤍
Younameit · F
Only when I’m not a 100% sure of my decision or scared of the repercussions…

When I feel like that I take my time and think about all the consequences carefully, measure if the risk is worth the reward.
MellyMel22 · F
@Younameit That’s a good way to see it.
Younameit · F
@MellyMel22 I completely misread your question 🤡. But the answer is yes!! I hope everything’s ok with you, message me if you need to talk.
MellyMel22 · F
@Younameit Thank you 🤍
Hi Mel. Thank you for your question.

Yes dear. Once for 6 months even when I lost my job. I lost so much weight.
