Yes. "Gunsmoke". Given to me by my grandpop. His favorite tv show and I'd watch it with him.

The old shows were the best shows.

Oh, and welcome to SW, by the way! It's the silliest place in the known universe, and with some luck you might make some beautiful friends.
🌷 <== your personal, unique welcome tulip.

@helenS Hi, Helen. When I was a young boy, I didn't even know what was going on on the tv. My grandpop lived with us. I loved being with him so much, I didn't mind his smelly feet (hard-working carpenter for Harford County, MD) and cold room. My honored job was to get his ice water while we watched Gunsmoke and the Baltimore Orioles! Now, as an adult...I see why he loved this show! Great storytelling! It should be mandatory viewing for everyone going into law enforcement.

I reckon I have space for new friendships, my Lady...and thank you for my welcome tulip!

Ontheroad · M
No, not really - except for an old ex girlfriend who had one for me. Not one I think the TOS would let me repeat🤣
Ontheroad · M
@helenS also, I sort of knew better when I started dating her - I kind of knew it wasn't going to have a good ending, but I was the typical guy. The exterior package was what I paid attention to.
helenS · 36-40, F
@Ontheroad I can understand that, and the "exterior package" was quite attractive, I guess?
Ontheroad · M
@helenS yep, a real dream boat in looks and body. And nothing underneath but ego.

Yes, my brother gave it to me, I’ve shortened it because we were kids and it was long and most of it was mean, but I like the first part.
My ex also gave me one that is fitting in 2 ways. 😊

Yes I do.
I got it from something foolish I said once, and have never been allowed to forget.
@Mindfulness what is it?
@Royricky09 Well now that would be telling.
I do try and keep a modicum of anonymity on here.

Nobody can ever pronounce OR spell my real name, although its a normal sounding spelling and name...

So I changed it to stop being insulted by everyone pretending to care just enough to get it a little bit wrong...once again.
Mindful · 56-60, F
@Ohplease47 that does sound frustrating and I can relate. I have that problem with my maiden name. It was sooo sooo annoying to have to repeat it over and over and spell too. Consequently, Even tho I'm divorced I've kept my "new" last name. I don't know if I'll ever go back to actively using my maiden name. I do feel some guilt over this.
Ohplease47 · F
@Mindful its a normal name for usa. Not foreign long or complicated.

But most people are not good listeners...or good writers/spellers either.

So I changed around the first to make it impossible to mispronounce or misspell and it also holds the quality of my real name, and left off the last letter of my last name. Doesnt look at all like hiding anything

Made a lot of difference too
