Have you called police to your home? Why?

Years ago, I called the police around 2am because I heard something that sounded like someone trying to open the front door. I was really scared. The police came and checked around the house and then he stayed outside to make sure we were safe. Nothing happened after that and I felt secure.

I have called them to a country gas station convenience store at night about 1:30 p.m. when a carload of teens pulled up and broke the plate glass window out to rob it of cigarettes. The police arrived too late and the teens had stolen all the cartons of cigarettes. I worked till 12:30 at night back then and kept hearing our dog bark, saw their legs behind a trailer loaded with animal feed, they were walking back & forth trying to hide.

I also called the police when I heard glass breaking one night. I had just watched the 10 p.m. news and they showed a serial killer (Richard Ramirez) who had just been captured in California and showed his evil face on tv. Less than 5 minutes later glass was breaking at the house next door. I looked out my bathroom window and saw no lights on. When the police arrived they went to the man’s home first. He was at home, had been sitting in the dark watching TV. It was getting warm in his house and he had wanted to put water on the water cooler, opened his window and it broke. He thanked me for calling the police because he had gotten broken into before.
